On Saturday, July 18, 2015, the City of Winder will host a Community Yard Sale and Farmer’s Market at Jug Tavern Park between the hours of 8 AM – 1 PM. The Community Yard Sale is open to all Winder residents, and the Farmer’s Market is open to anyone who resides in Barrow County. There is no charge to participate, but all participants are required to register with the City Clerk’s Office by calling (678) 425-6805 or by email: april.furman@cityofwinder.com.

Participation Guidelines

Each participant must register with the City Clerk’s Office (see above information), and will be assigned a space number.
The “holding or reserving” of a space for someone who is not individually registered is not permitted.
Set-up will begin at approximately 7:00 AM. Each participant must be ready to go, and all vehicles cleared from the grounds no later than 7:45 AM.
Each participant will be given a space number, and upon arrival, will check-in at the blue, City of Winder main tent.
Each participant will be responsible to bring their own tables, chairs, tents, etc.
All participants are expected to keep their areas neat and clean, and free of debris. Prior to leaving the grounds, all participants must make sure any trash is picked up and placed in the proper trash receptacles.

Guidelines for Community Yard Sale

Participants of the Community Yard Sale must be a resident of Winder, or a City of Winder employee. Proof of residency must be provided.
Yard sale items must be household items.
No retail or newly purchased items are allowed.
No live animals.
No large appliances.
Participants’ yard sale items not sold during the event will be encouraged to donate their items to local shelters and/or nonprofit organizations. The City will arrange for items to be picked up after the event is over, and any items left for donation must be boxed up and ready for pick up. Only items that are sold at a thrift store such as clothing, kitchen dishes, small household items, etc. will be permitted for donation.

Guidelines for Farmer’s Market

Farmer’s market items include fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, fresh baked goods and hand-crafted items such as candles, knitted items, crafts, etc. Farmer’s market items will need to be approved.
All items being sold in the Farmer’s Market must be home grown and/or hand-made by the participant.
A participant in the farmer’s market must be a resident of Barrow County or a City of Winder employee. Proof of residency must be provided.
