Apalachee Theatre presents "OUR TOWN"

A simple story of a simple town.

Set in the fictional community of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, “Our Town” is a three-act play by American playwright Thornton Wilder. It is a character story about an average town's citizens in the early twentieth century as depicted through their everyday lives. The play's narrator, the Stage Manager, is completely aware of his relationship with the audience and is therefore free to address the audience directly.

Through simple theatrical staging, Wilder shares scenes Grover's Corners’ history between the years of 1901 and 1913. “Our Town” received the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, as well as a 1989 Tony Award for Best Revival.

Advance tickets are $8.00 and are available at Winder City Hall and Apalachee High School. Tickets will also be available at the door for $10.00 (Cash or checks only at the door please) .
